Mankind needs some sort of order
A guide to direct their caravan
Emotions they feel , all a bandwagon
Call it whatever you want
Religion.
Nationalism.
Law.
Or for those like me , plain simple logic
We're all driven
Wanna-be Nostradames
All the doomsday theories
World taken over by machines
Add to that the bucket load of science fiction
I would like to put my own theory out
What these theories really mean to say is
That , We , The humans , sentient species of Planet Earth
The ones leading it toward destruction
Ignoring every other living being
The most violent of all animals
We are the world's doom
Its bane
We are the "machines" that will take over the world
Machines is what we are now, and what we will eventually turn into
Doomsday isn't a day.
Its what we are living.

Why do we write?

What drives one to pour it all out?

Gallons and gallons of thoughts

Showering down from the tip of the pen

The mightiest of all weapons

A simple thought makes a huge difference

Is that why we write?

To make a difference?

To bring change?

To save the world?

No , i don't suppose we start out that way

Some do end up saving the world though

But these are just thoughts

Well , Published thoughts if you may

So what actually saves people

Saves the world

Is what people infer themselves

And what we see in other things

Is what we are ourselves

So everyone is a hero of their own

A Saviour

Poets

They take something from their lives

Beat it into different shapes

Bend into amazing , simple , grand and sometimes cliched metaphors

And there it is , a poem

But why publish it?

Do they seek affirmation? Approval ?

Or recognition as the next great Socrates ?

No one can answer that answer honestly

Because no one knows

I certainly cannot answer that question

When i say we

I included myself in the "select" group of writers and poets

But what makes us that?

What qualifies our lines as poems?

Honestly , it is just a simple term

Life is the greatest of all poems

Having all emotions

All the beautiful little metaphors one can imagine

So , Aren't we all poets?

Welcome to my hole in the ground
My little piece of heaven
My own prison
Where i lay like a lifeless lump
Stifling my thoughts with the lies i have been fed
Choking on the rotten words blurted out

To somehow end all of this

Isn't everything a gamble
Well , Thats one perspective
Seems like all we do is take chances
Everyday
Then how do decisions really affect anything?
How does anything matter?
People who believe in Destiny may be true after all
And maybe every decision we make
Every step of the day
Every choice
Has a result fixed by our fate
Fate has an ominous sound to it
Making us feel hopeless since everything lies in the hands of fate
What is the point of choices then?
Are we making choices just for the sake of choosing?
Showing ourselves that we are in control of our lives?
Is it right?
Resting your life in the lap of Fate?
If it is such
Then what of the less fortunate in the world run by fate
The unlucky ones
'cause some are just a little unlucky
What of them?
Men of logic
Believers of the law of averages
Forget that sometimes life isn't that long for luck to turn in their favor

Thats what the word can do

I'm really happy with the way my throat is shaping up
Seems like those little weird sounding throat warm - up exercises reeally do work
But the more i see such lessons online the more i realize that i need a proper vocal training
A trained voice , sounds trained . It sounds sure of its range .
Im a self sustained singer....dependant on a lot of things ....and i need to get rid of those things....free up my voice....
Plus the work needed for growling....well it hasnt affected my clean voice in totality .....but it does make it difficult to sing clean right after a fully growled song......i need to work on tht
It wud be an incredible ability for a vocalist to have in his arsenal.....

The Indian Cricket Team in a huge spot of bother without Zaheer Khan....probably shows the problem they are facing
well to be frank the selectors need to get their heads straight and out of their asses.....
selecting abhinav mithun ?
and ishant sharma?
cud have gone with nehra and rp singh...
but well srikant and his men are geniuses
they kick out dinesh karthik for no damn reason every now and then and bring him back if someone gets injured
change the selection panel ...
half the problems will be solved

today i am going to try and learn Turn the Page as covered by metallica ....minus the solo of course....

lets see how well i m able to do with it

dont know why i never tried to play this song before

also i have to look for songs which have solos in the A major scale....to practice my scale.....

either that or the minor pentatonic scale....

from what i ve heard thats the best way to improve one's soloing

learn a scale

practice practice practice

and then break out of the scale by changing notes and stuff

and then just playing a solo ....(or making one if ur upto it) from the same scale.....

sounds simple enough right???

also im worried if i practice death growls ......(lower pitched ones)

i wonder if thats gonna screw up my clean vocals..

there are ppl who do both very well

i really need to know their secret

how to growl and sing together ....and both verry efficiently.....

damn i really need a vocal coach

The Road(2009)

The Road(2009) on IMDB

Starring Viggo Mortensen in the lead role of the Man , and the little boy Kodi Smit-Mcphee as the Boy , this movie takes you on a journey with the father and son pair on a journey through one of the most impressive post-apocalyptic fictional future earths (:P) . The story focuses on the struggle that the Man faces to keep his child safe in the cannibalistic future where children have become the staple food for the surviving humans. Add to that the haunting memory of his wife who could not take the suffering any longer and decided to take a long lonely walk one night and never come back.Add to that the constant crying of a 8 year old kid who has a problem with everything his "Papa" does and has to say no to each and everything. Apart from the few annoying parts where the child just messes with everything his father is trying to do(agreed he was scared but still , shut up when your father is trying to save your life) the child has done a good job in understanding the mixed emotions a kid would feel in such a world . Viggo as the father is brilliant as usual , absolutely no complaints. The movie is a decent adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy (Author Of No Country For Old Men) novel of the same name (a pulitzer prize winning novel) and showcases the bleak and gray tones of the terrible future world brilliantly. Sometimes it will make you feel suffocated , sometimes it will make you wanna do something about the pair as they traverse through the wastelands. Glimpses of Charlize Theron in the flashback as the Woman and little cameos from Robert Duvall and Guy Pearce give small additional reasons to watch this movie.

All in all i would give the movie an 8/10

It is definitely a good watch

Must Watch for : Viggo Mortensen Fans , Movie Buffs.

No real reason needed to explain why a song as powerfully moving as this one would be on the my mind today....
Everything about the song is just brilliant and sort of defines AIC's music in a very simple way....
From the free flowing bass intro ..... to the harmony of jerry and layne's voices.......and the amazingly haunting outro.....
I just feel this part of the lyrics ....written by jerry .....defines the melancholy feeling of this song....reaches out to you in layne's pain-laden voice...

i havent
dont know what made me suddenly decide on writing a blog
i really dont know

probably the fact that i dont have anything worthwhile to do
could be one of the reasons
probably the fact that i have so much stuff inside my head that i should put some aside somewhere...
to free up memory (a bad pun very much intended)

its beauty knocked me over
